Xicu breaks the limits of urban pop with his new album ‘LISTEN’

Xicu releases LISTEN, his new record, an album born from the constant tension between pop songwriting and the desire to push beyond its boundaries. The record expands the artist’s sonic universe and projects it toward territories closer to the underground and more alternative scenes, consolidating an increasingly personal and daring artistic proposal.
With a raw sound and direct lyrics, LISTEN reveals a darker, more critical side, at times clearly angry with the world. The album’s 11 tracks move freely between acoustic guitars recorded on a mobile phone and saturated, distorted 808s, combining an urban aesthetic with his already distinctive bedroom-produced sound. Written, produced, and developed entirely on his own, the album is built as a sincere and precise portrait of the life moment Xicu is currently experiencing.

As part of this new phase, Xicu previewed tracks such as ‘aye’, ‘u n me bby’, and ‘POGOS’, a recent single alongside Lil Guiu from P.A.W.N Gang, in which they abandon depth to embrace the physical impact of music played at extreme volume.
Following projects like SACRIFICIS (Delirics, 2024) and the EP Tu I Jo No Morirem Mai (Delirics, 2025), and after performing at festivals such as Vida Festival and Primavera Sound (Primavera Pro), Xicu has established himself as one of the most personal and distinctive emerging voices on today’s Catalan music scene.
The live presentation of LISTEN will take place on March 19 at Sala Upload, and he is already confirmed as an artist at Festival Cruïlla 2026, on July 8.
